East facing our garden slopes gently supwards towards the ramparts of the historic Bamber Castle. These thickly wooded slopes shade us from the morning sun except in high summer but provide a delightful array of birdsong and wildlife. Spring 2013 - Now the hard landscaping is done (two terraces) shrubs and perennials are planted it is time to tackle the lawn! Watch this space.

ToniB's garden plan

There is not a published plan for this garden yet.

About me
Country loving person lucky enough to be living on the edge of a large village, I enjoy tending my horses, dogs and chickens (until the fox ate the last lot). Gardening has taken a back seat until now....

Gardening expertise

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Locating reasonably priced plants and choosing where to place them, the very easiest bit! Now to learn how to manage them through the seasons as they grow.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Know when and how much to cut back to 'tame' shrubs etc

The gardening project I am currently working on
Developing our back garden after 13 years of just maintaining a lawn and weed filled borders with a few overgrown shrubs
