About me
In spite of gardening all my life I seem to have moved house so often I never quite get the chance to sit down and enjoy all the work I put in.....in this house I am determined to change that!

Biggest gardening accomplishments
3 years ago I became the owner of a massively overgrown garden had been used as a rubbish dump for goodness knows how long. Access for heavy tools is impossible as the garden slopes steeply to the south (and leans to the east!) 3 years on I am halfway down and many,many trips to the 'tip' later ! Much of the garden is now planted, I have a thriving compost bin with zillions of slowworms and the soil begins to smell 'right' again.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Every forkful hits plastic, old kitchen waste, glass, textile etc. In fact a lifetimes accumulated rubbish -all wrapped up with nettles and brambles! The wet summer last year actually did me a favour as the ground stayed moist enough for me to carry on digging and weeding. I can't wait to get to the end of the garden and look backup the slope when it's all finally planted.

The gardening project I am currently working on
This year I need to split and reposition several clumps of Nepeta (six hills), a glorious red cornflower and I think I will move the perennial wallflower too. The bees love all of these and they will look better spread around. Other than that I just need
