Adrian Valentine

About me
Adrian has set up a number of companies over the past 20 years including a dedicated Polo magazine in the 80’s to a business supplying millions of jars of goose fat to the Supermarkets during the 00’s. He is extremely enthusiastic about Europe and, when allowed, spends as much time as possible practising his golf swing. As an avid supporter of the Mediterranean ‘way of life’, Adrian is passionate about offering similar lifestyle choices to the British public - enabling us to make the most of the outdoors and to take advantage of the opportunity whenever the sun shines. Perfect Pergolas is an ideal concept with which to start this campaign and is dedicated to the many happy hours he's spent under one! Gardening expertise

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Being inspired by our wonderful Rosemary Verey designed garden in Gloucestershire to set up a garden accessories business called Perfect Pergolas Ltd - the only online company where you can design and customise your own 'garden room' and have it delivered to your door. Available in different sizes, woods and finishes to complement your existing property. Great range of garden accessories for your pergola as well.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Organising the logistics of the Barnsley Village Garden Festival, Glos - each year brings new frustrations and problems but we have successfully raised thousands for charity over the last 25 years - so it's got to be worth it!

The gardening project I am currently working on
Promoting the concept of a 'Mediterranean' outdoor lifestyle to the UK population. Daunting!
