Meeting the brief for an area combining textural and colourful planting with interesting hard surfacing and space for an outdoor classroom, the sensory garden was opened in July 2008. The organic shape comprises 3 circles: one surrounds a wooden totem pole carved by the children; a second has been sculpted into a turfed spiral mound and the third provides seating on a curved stone wall. There is room for seasonal plants grown by the children and for artefacts made by them. The garden is maintained enthusiastically by a school gardening club. There is not a published plan for this garden yet.
