My garden is half an acre of sandy soil in the North West corner of Surrey. We have lived in the cottage 18 years and the garden has evolved over this time. It is divided into separate areas, which peak at different times of the year, depending on where the best spots to sit are. In the winter and spring the beds around the house have the most colour, which I can see from my cosy sofa. In the early summer there is a shady arbour in the rose garden, surrounded by scent. Mid summer picnics are taken on the top lawn, dreaming to the hum of bees in the long flower border. Warm September days are spent harvesting vegetables in the potager, resting on an old wooden chair.

About me
I am a professional garden designer, based in Virginia Water in Surrey and gardens are my passion. I am never happier than when I am outside. I love being in my garden, designing, planting, but most of all, just looking at what is growing, and writing about it on my blog, www.greengardendesign.co.uk/blog. My business, www.greengardendesign.co.uk, allows me the privilege of creating gardens for other people too. Every garden is different and presents opportunities to bring out the best in a place. From chic urban courtyards to country estates, I love them all!
