About me
My name is Jo and I live in West Yorkshire. I have dabbled with gardening for many years, but have got into it in a big way in the last two to three years. I have two children who are 14 and 10 so they still use the garden alot for playing in, which is why the largest part of my garden is lawned. I would eventually like to make the lawn a smaller area and create flower beds around it. Because I don't have a large area in the garden in which to grow either flowers or vegetables I grow most things in containers. I also have a small 6X4 greenhouse which is used in the summer to grow my tomatoes and peppers, and in the winter to protect my flowers against frost. This year I am hoping to make a (very) small water feature where, hopefully, I can attract some critters! I am on the waiting list for an allotment and I'm hoping that I will hear that I'm at the top of this list very soon!

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
I'm really proud that I am managing to grow some of my own food, from seed, and in containers. This has also encouraged the rest of my family to 'eat their greens'.

Biggest gardening frustrations
I would love to dig up half the lawn and create flower-beds but this has to be put on hold at the moment as the kids are still using the garden way too much for my liking!

The gardening project I am currently working on
This year I'm having another go at growing Aubergines. I haven't had much success with them in previous years but I'm not ready to give up yet! Also, I would like to get some sort of small wildlife pond started in the garden this year.
