This garden has been made during summer/autumn 2013. As the whole plot around the house is new, I did not know where to start and end, and what kind of plants to buy except from the hedge and a few others. A lot of the plants, I bought when I saw they where on offer, and I liked them. Then I started to make themes, like one corner is my Mediterranean corner, the rest I planted according to where they would grow best.Tip: Click zoom out button above to see entire garden plan

About me
I am a Danish middle aged "young girl" gardening enthusiast, who has lived in Belgium and France over the last 25 years. During that time I have had both old gardens and new gardens, vegetable plots and fruit orchards. Self taught through my old Danish gardening books, watching every possible gardening programmes from the BBC in English, and going to French speaking garden centres! Confused? Well, you can guess I have been that many times, especially with the different names every country uses for plants and products. Although I have now more experience, it is still easy to get confused. So as a member of Shoot, I am hoping to improve my gardening skills during the making of our completely new garden we started in the spring of 2013, when we moved into our new house in the South West of France in the region of Aquitaine.
