About me
I work full time in IT and have a family to bring up, so gardening is a bit "as and when". I lost my garden mentor (my mother) a few years ago and I'm trying to learn more on my own, but I miss her years of experience.
I was inspired by a trip to South Africa a few years ago and am growing some plants from the Cape as a result - I love agapanthus, mesembryanthemum, osteospermum. I even having a thriving protea.
I also love clematis, delphiniums, aquilegia, hellebore, and hate euphorbia and daffodils.
Gardening expertise
Very Keen
Biggest gardening accomplishments
I created a rockery and herbaceous border in my front garden two years ago and this year it is beginning to look a little like I envisioned it would.
Biggest gardening frustrations
Never having quite enough time to finish what I am doing ... slugs & snails ... forgetting to do stuff until it is too late in the season.
The gardening project I am currently working on
Redesigning my back garden.
