About me
I have been interested in gardening for 40 years and have been on three garden design courses, RHS 1&2, course on Pests and Diseases, and have been advising on Low Maintenance gardening and planning for 20 years. Am very keen on perennials and grasses, also clematis. I am lucky enough to own a small peice of land in which I creared a woodland, mostly with Betula pendulous, Sorbus cahsmeriana, Cercis Foprest Pansy, Cercidiphyllum, and two Malus John Downie. It is beautiful in Spring with snowdrops, primroses, violets and bluebells. In June we have foxgloves, geraniums and a fernery. The back garden has a circular lawn leading to a pergola and with borders all around. Plus two gravel areas with Irises grasses, geums, species tulips and agapanthus.

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
Have designed and managed two very different gardens, the first with mostly shrubs and perennials on a fairly large scale and to date a smaller garden which is very densly planted. I have designed numerous gardens for clients, about 12 a year.

Biggest gardening frustrations
Tackling pests like the weevil (bane of my life!) and lily beetle. Very frustrating when my rooted cuttings decide to die on me!

The gardening project I am currently working on
Redesigning my large gravel garden as a very large juniper died this winter!
