About me
I live with my partner, also a gardener, in Hastings UK on 1/3 of an acre above the town with a view of the sea. The garden is windswept with a fair amount of sun. We have a roof garden, 10 - 20cm of soil, home to mostly Mediterranean natives; to the north a 16 x 16m veg and fruit tree garden (very sunny), to the west a pond and a bit of lawn next to some woods, and to the south more lawn and a couple of perennial borders in a partly shaded walled garden.

Gardening expertise
Very Keen

Biggest gardening accomplishments
I've managed to get a good harvest of cherries from a Montmorency cherry tree, carefully tended, to produce -- finally! -- some good old-fashioned American cherry jam (here speaks an expat New Yorker). This year, perhaps enough to allow for a pie as well...

Biggest gardening frustrations
Dratted Mr Mole.

The gardening project I am currently working on
Last autumn we had a greenhouse built, and this year is devoted to figuring out the best way to prevent violent swings in temperature, using heat collected during the day. I'm in search of two plants or seeds thereof: ipomoea batatas 'Blackie' and the North-American lingonberry (very dwarf): vaccinium vitis idaea v minus (or var minus or ssp minus).
