Sara Venn, My Garden (HP9)

Styles: Allotment or vegetable plot, Exotic, Organic, Spiritual, Wildflower, Wildlife

Soil types: Loamy

Soil drainage: Well-drained

Soil pH: Neutral

Aspect: South

Exposure: Sheltered

Hardiness: Hardy (H4)

Small garden packed with plants in two borders and many pots and containers. One border is shaded by a mature plum tree and the other is south facing against the house wall. Both are challenging in totally different ways. The south facing border is very dry and the soil becomes under nourished very easily, whereas the shaded border is wet in winter but relatively dry shade in summer.
