Lots of different areas facing different directions for sun and shade. Fenced in otherwise would be very exposed site. New area created last year around lawn. South Facing and in full sun, well drained loam. Gravel garden mostly alpines and grasses North Facing shady area Holly trees, ferns and shade loving plants. Himalayan Blue poppies and various helebores and alstromerias. West facing border - perennial garden with tree peonies and roses. Perennial Cottage garden area which gets the sun at different times of the day. Cornus, clematis, climbing roses, rhododendrons etc..
