Situated on the edge of woods facing west, the garden is split into 3 different levels. The sloped woodland garden is the top area with a large apple tree which gives plenty of shade for ferns and other shade loving plants. At the lower border of this top area is a small pond overlooked by a seating area, to the right of which is the compost hidden behind a tall Miscanthus. The flat area below has a rose pergola and a larger pond with running water from the top pond. There is a bench under a Parrotia tree and otherwise lawn which is bordered by different flowerbeds. The flat, bottom level borders onto the patio and is divided from the upper level by railway sleepers and 3 steps. There are 3 flowerbeds surrounding the lawn planted in more or less cottage style. On the eastern side of the house, there is a large red acer tree and 2 borders divided by a stone path leading to the front door.Tip: Click zoom out button above to see entire garden plan
