A. odora - A. odora is a vigorous, tender, rhizomatous, evergreen perennial with stout, upright, fleshy stems bearing large, ovate to arrow-shaped, light green leaves. Fragrant, yellow to yellow-green spathes in summer are followed by spherical, bright red fruit.

Outdoors, grow in moist but well-drained, preferably acid soil in full sun. Lift and keep indoors in winter. Requires a minimum of 15-18C.
