A. gigas - A. gigas is a vigorous, clump-forming, biennial or short-lived perennial with pinnate leaves divided into ovate to diamond-shaped, lobed leaflets. Erect, branced, purple stems bear umbels of reddish-purple flowers in late summer and early autumn.
