C. africanum - C. africanum is a compact, tender, clump-forming, deciduous, tuberous perennial with heart-shaped, dark green leaves, heavily mottled grey-green. Before the leaves emerge in autumn, erect stems bear pink flowers with reflexed petals and maroon bases.
