E. planum - E. planum is a clump-forming, evergreen perennial with rosettes of toothed, oblong to ovate, dark grey-green leaves and, in summer, upright, branched stems bearing cone-like, light blue flower-heads with conspicuous, linear, spiny, blue-green bracts.
