Adenium is a genus of one variable species, sometimes divided into five or six species of perennial succulent found in semi-arid regions of the Arabian peninsula and East to Southwest Africa with a swollen caudex, usually widely bottle-shaped and irregular, spineless branches bearing glossy leaves in spiralling, terminal clusters and salverform flowers ranging in colour from red to pink or white.
