'Variegata' _ 'Variegata' is a clump-forming, rhizomatous, semi-evergreen to evergreen perennial with fans of strap-shaped, glossy, white- and green-striped leaves and, in late spring and early summer, slender, upright, branched stems bearing flattened, frilled, white or pale lavender-blue flowers with purple markings and orange crests.
