'Safari Sunset' _ 'Safari Sunset' is a tender yet vigorous, erect, branching, evergreen shrub with narrowly oblong, leathery, red-flushed, olive to dark green leaves, more colourful when young, and ovoid, yellow-green flowerheads surrounded by light red bracts. Bracts mature reddish-purple then fade to golden-yellow.

Wallside and trellises, Sub-Tropical, Mediterranean, Indoor, Flower Arranging, Drought Tolerant, Conservatory
Under glass, grow in a mix of 1 part ericaceous compost and 3 parts grit or perlite with peat or peat alternative. Site in full light with low humidity. In growth, water moderately and feed with magnesium sulphate and urea at half-strength in spring and autumn. Water sparingly in winter. In frost free areas, grow outdoors in poor, neutral to acid, well-drained soil in sun. Leaves will yellow in magnesium deficient soil.
