'Gold Rush' _ 'Gold Rush' is a vigorous, conical, deciduous, coniferous tree with fibrous, orange-brown bark, often fluted at the base in cultivation, and flat sprays of soft, spreading, golden-yellow leaves, turning orange-brown in autumn. Oval, light brown female cones and pendent, spherical, brown male cones are insignificant.
