The galls produced by these mites cause little real damage (the
exception being on blackcurrants) but are unsightly.
Spot them
There are many different types of gall mites. The unsighly galls
contain colonies of many thousands of tiny (less than 0.2 mm)
pests. Adult mites have narrow white or yellow bodies and only two
pairs of legs.
