R. regia - R. regia is a tall, tender, vigorous palm with a sturdy trunk, thickened at the base, topped with pinnate, broadly lance-shaped leaves divided into numerous linear, dark green leaflets and panicles of cup-shaped, white flowers in summer. Flowers are followed by spherical, green fruit ripening red then black.
