'Angel Gold' is an upright, bushy, thicket-forming, deciduous shrub with upright, dark red stems bearing ovate, lobed, yellow to yellow-green leaves, bronze-flushed when young, and, in late spring and early summer, flattened clusters of small, cup-shaped, white flowers followed by red fruit that ripens purple.
