'Shidare-yoshino' is a spreading deciduous tree with weeping branches bearing elliptic, toothed, dark green leaves, flushed bronze when young, and, in early spring as or before the leaves emerge, umbels of bowl-shaped, pale pink flowers fading to white with age.
