'Scarlett' is a broadly oval, deciduous tree with ovate to elliptic, shallowly lobed, glossy leaves, purple in spring turning bronze-green in summer and bright orange and red in autumn. Clusters of reddish-pink flowers in mid-spring are followed by dark red fruit in autumn.
