Viburnum nudum (American withe rod)
Other names: American witherod, Smooth withe rod, Possomhaw, Wild raisin, Naked viburnum
V.nudum is a deciduous shrub with glossy dark-green, simple leaves which turn to burgundy in autumn. The creamy-white, flat-topped flowers bloom in late spring and are followed by pea-sized berries which change from green to bright pink, bright blue and finally purplish-black when a suitable pollinator is grown in close proximity.
