V. lantanoides - V. lantanoides is a spreading, deciduous shrub with prostrate outer branches that root in the soil. Rounded to broadly ovate, toothed, dark green leaves turn yellow, red, or purple in autumn. Lacecap-like cymes of tubular, fertile, white flowers are surrounded by saucer-shaped, sterile ray-florets bloom in late spring and early summer. Flowers are followed by ovoid red fruit ripening purple-black.
