V. recognitum - V. recognitum is an upright, deciduous shrub with ovate to heart-shaped, thick, coarsely toothed, glossy, veined, mid-green leaves turning yellow and bronze in autumn. Flat cymes of pungent, white flowers with conspicuous bracts in late spring and early summer are followed by blue-black fruit maturing by late summer.
